Q: What is your ethnicity, where do you live, and where do you currently live?

A: I am Mexican.

Born & raised in Culiacan, Sinaloa.

Vegas has been my home for 15 years now.

Q: Tell us about Latina Lifters, what inspired you to start the page and what are your current aspirations for it?

A: Latina Lifters started as a conversation with another Latina at our gym.

We were talking chisme & complaining about the lack of representation in the fitness community for Latinx Lifters. We felt that there is no fitness brand that could really express our heritage & truly capture our "attitude".

My goal is to continue to grow the community & create a safe environment for Latinas to share their journey , their struggles and to celebrate one another.

Currently working with other Latinx owned brands, nonprofits organization & high profile Athletes to share important & relevant information for the Latinx community!

We are not just a brand, we are a movement!

Q: What does it mean to you to be a Latina entrepreneur?

A: It’s an amazing feeling. I feel a lot of pride when I speak about my business. As silly as it sounds I feel like I'm really able to fulfill my American dream!

Q: Who is your Latina inspiration?

A: Frida Kahlo.

She didn't let pain stop her from following her dreams.

People love to say her story is tragic but I believe her pain & passion is in fact what made her so Iconic. She took a stand on what our Culture believed women should be like & proved that she can be successful by being herself.

Q: What piece of advice do you have for someone who thinks they won’t enjoy being a lifter?

A: Inform yourself.

It is very important to educate yourself. Lifting can look intimidating but I promise with the right coach by your side , you will fall in love. Lifting is not just great for the body but amazingly therapeutic for the mind. You will not get bulky, you will not look manly. Do not fall for the stereotypes & misinformation! Try it, you wont regret it!

Q: How can people keep up with / support you?
