Hello and Happy Women’s History Month! I’m sure many of us are realizing that the 12 months between last March and this March where life-changing. I for one, have reflected on what it brought me and that was you all. Through a desire to want to amplify and validate the stories of Latina creators, I came to know many of you and suddenly my once lonely quest to rock Latina brands was rich and bountiful. I also realized that like myself, we are all on the search to support each other and often times we have to do some leg work to reach our final destination.

This said, I am very excited to bring you a curated experience as I introduce you to your new favorite brands! In deciding who to spotlight, I recognize there are THOUSANDS of creators I can list and no one who has currently taken on this task. Trust me when I say, we are going to have fun getting to it all.

But first, I thought I’d take you back to my own journey. I started with what I saw and looked to the biggest brands I could find because well, that’s all I knew. I think it’s a good starting point to go from the “big” names to the names in your own backyards but as a final disclaimer, all future brands listed will be explicitly Latina-owned.

1.) Hija de tu Madre - this is the largest collection of Spanglish swag I have found! Although I definitely welcome other nominations for this top prize. Choose from apparel, desk, beauty, and more and you’ll have a complete look to have the all the tias talking (in a good way)! Bonus: they’re currently offering a free notebook with $100 purchase. Follow on Instagram here.

2.) Mitú Shop - an extension of the Mitú media company this was the very first brand I came across that had catchy Spanglish lingo only mi familia would understand. Truly a catalyst for me to recognize that I could find apparel that matched my culture and for that I am grateful. If only I really knew just what was waiting out there for me! I still rock my ‘mejor sola que mala compañia’ sweatshirt with pride! Follow on Instagram here.

3.) Shop Mi Vida Boutique - this shop gives others a run for their money as it too offers a large array of choices to get your Spanglish fix. Of course they have your standard variety of t-shirts, hats, and mugs, but they also have super cute curated items like incense y mas! Visit them on Instagram here.

4.) Chingona Inc. - so many amazing find here from creator Viridiana, but my favorite would have to be the the very first mujeres empowered Mexican bingo game. The Lotería game celebrates mujeres and their careers, making it the perfect gift for yourself or your very best chingona amiga! Check here out on Instagram here.

5.) GRL Collective - the about me says it all so here it is: GRL Collective is a Latina founded lifestyle brand for grls that give a f*ck. We donate 20% of our profits to fund girls education in India through our non-profit partners, The Sambhali Trust. $5 of our Lucha tee is donated to Black Lives Matter. $5 of our kids Lucha tee is donated to RAICES Texas. We design all of our products and we believe in ethical, sustainable and fair-trade practices when it comes to manufacturing. This means no sweat shops, only the best materials, and eco-friendly packaging. Visit them on Instagram here.

6 .) The Chingona Box - as we’ve established, there currently is no one website that makes it easy to search from numerous Latina creators. So, it’s really nice to know that the ladies at Chingona box are making it extra easy for you to meet new brands with a monthly subscription box straight to your door. My favorite part is the warning that it may include cuss words, because what is Spanglish without the spice - am I right!? Follow them on Instagram here.

7.) Shop BLatina - I was stoked to come across this brand! Not only are they dismantling colorist rhetoric with every purchase, they are also working to lift their community in the process. Have you wanted to make a little extra cash from rocking your favorite brand? Apply for their affiliate program and try your luck at the influencer life! Follow them on Instagram here.

8.) The Latina Studio - want a quick find without searching through pages of options? Then the Latina Studio is a great place to visit when you know you want to support, but also know you may never press buy because you always want it all! Grab your new Latina-tee, saucy lashes, and me vale hat, y mira la you’re ready to roll. Visit them on Instagram here.

9.) Latina Lifters - in my search to produce a Spanglish swag list, I definitely recognize not every Latina would necessarily identifies as a lifter. But I’m here to tell you otherwise. What about that heavy burden you carry of simply trying to thrive in an America that tells you you don’t belong!? We all are heavy lifters, whether we’ve claimed it or not. So I’d say today is the perfect time to visit my friend Cinthia online and snag a ‘fuerte AF’ necklace because you’ve earned it. Visit them on Instagram here.

10.) Luna Magic - two Dominican sisters are behind this dynamic beauty brand. As seen on Shark Tank, they offer original beauty options as well as swag! Given that literally every major beauty company is run by men, even the women-owned ones, it’s amazing to see quality created for and by Latinas. Visit them on Instagram here.
